Description

Goal

Rebuild the SLCPL Weekly GP Dashboard as a native Frappe Page inside ERPNext (desk), in the custom app slcpl_erpnext_app. As agreed with my manager, it is built and tested locally only, on the local bench using the FTWZ (SLFPL) data.

Background

  • The dashboard currently lives as a Web Page on the SLCPL data-migration site (/gp-dashboard), using two Server Scripts: get_gp_dashboard_data (GP-locked projects: RR date, gross margin, branch, project type) and check_gp_dashboard_access (role "33-Weekly GP report").
  • On 07/10 the Web Page was upgraded (filters, charts, reports, tabs, headline strip, target colours, visual refresh, role check on the data script). This rebuild moves that design into ERPNext as a proper Page.

Local environment

  • Bench: ~/slfpl-prodn · Site: slfpl.local (http://localhost:8000) · Frappe 15.103.2 / ERPNext 15.102.0 · developer mode on
  • App: slcpl_erpnext_app (module: Slcpl Erpnext App) · work on a separate Git branch
  • Data: FTWZ projects (5,363 GP-locked, RR dates Apr–Aug 2026; branches Sricity-FTWZ, Tada, Panvel-FTWZ, Khurja-FTWZ). SLCPL targets don't match these branches, so test targets will be used for checking.

Scope

  • Page weekly-gp-dashboard at /app/weekly-gp-dashboard, access restricted to the "33-Weekly GP report" role
  • Python data function in the app (replaces the Server Scripts locally), with the same role check
  • Headline strip: this week's GP, FY-to-date % of target, leading branch
  • Tabs:
    • Overview: this-week summary boxes + the original weekly GP table (week → branch → project type drill-down)
    • Targets: cumulative GP vs target chart, branch target progress
    • Branches: GP by branch coloured by target status, weekly GP trend
    • Project types: GP by project type, Mumbai groups vs target
    • Reports: GP by branch / project type per week or month, CSV download, link to projects
  • Filters: date range, branch, project type, week/month, quick ranges
  • FY weeks, targets and Mumbai groups kept in one place

Out of scope (for now)

  • Deployment to Frappe Cloud (needs the real app repo)
  • Settings screen to edit targets without code
  • Retiring the existing Web Page / Server Scripts
