Description

User Story
As a developer, I want to set up the Next.js frontend project with a scalable folder structure and reusable layout components so that future development is modular, maintainable, and follows best practices.

Description
Initialize the Canofy website using Next.js and Tailwind CSS. Establish a scalable component architecture by creating reusable layout components (Navbar, Container, Section, Button) and organizing homepage sections into feature-based folders. Configure the application to support future integration with Sanity CMS and AWS Amplify deployment.

Configuration / Prerequisites

  • Node.js installed
  • npm installed
  • Next.js project initialized
  • Tailwind CSS configured
  • VS Code configured
  • Git repository initialized
  • Project pushed to GitHub

Acceptance Criteria

  • Next.js application runs successfully.
  • Tailwind CSS is configured and functioning.
  • Reusable layout components are created.
  • Homepage sections are organized into individual component folders.
  • Project follows scalable folder architecture.
  • No build or compilation errors.
Test Case Expected Result
Run npm run dev Development server starts successfully
Open localhost Homepage loads successfully
Verify Tailwind styling Styles render correctly
Verify component imports No import/module errors
Verify folder structure Matches project architecture
