Description

User Story
As a Canofy user, I want to verify a vehicle using its registration, chassis or engine number so that I can retrieve and review its ownership, registration and compliance information through a single verification workflow.

Description
Develop the Vehicle Verification module for the Canofy ULIP application.
The module provides three supported search methods: Registration Number, Chassis Number and Engine Number. The user enters the required identifier, reviews the submitted search details, and initiates vehicle verification.
The module integrates with the common ULIP integration framework and currently uses simulated ULIP responses for development and demonstration. Successful verification displays vehicle registration, ownership and compliance information in a structured results interface.
The module also includes validation and error handling for unsuccessful searches and service failures, along with verification status/progress feedback and the ability to download a vehicle verification report.

Configuration / Prerequisites
Canofy ULIP application and common UI framework configured.
Common ULIPClient integration layer available.
Vehicle verification service/API method implemented.
Vehicle search workflow configured for:
Registration Number
Chassis Number
Engine Number
Vehicle Search DocType/database structure available for storing search information.
Mock ULIP responses configured for successful, failed and server-error scenarios.
Vehicle verification report/print format configured.

Acceptance Criteria
Users can select Registration Number, Chassis Number or Engine Number as the search method.
The input field dynamically updates its label, description and placeholder according to the selected search type.
Users cannot proceed without selecting a search method and providing a search value.
A review step displays the selected search type and entered value before verification.
Verification invokes the vehicle service through the common ULIP integration layer.
Successful verification displays vehicle ownership, registration, manufacturer, model and compliance information.
The results include relevant compliance information such as RC, insurance, permit and fitness status.
Failed searches display a clear user-facing error message without breaking the workflow.
Simulated ULIP/server errors are handled gracefully.
Verification results display response-time information and verification details.
Users can start a new verification after completing a search.
Users can generate/download a Vehicle Verification Report from the results page.
Vehicle searches and relevant response information are stored for future search/history purposes.

Test Cases
TC01 – Registration Number Verification

Select Engine Number and enter K12MN987654321.
Expected Result: The engine search is accepted and the corresponding vehicle information is displayed.

TC04 – Invalid Vehicle Search
Enter MH12AB9999.
Expected Result: Verification fails with the message “Vehicle not found.” and the user is returned to the appropriate verification stage.

TC05 – ULIP Service Error
Enter KA01CD5000.
Expected Result: The simulated ULIP service error is handled gracefully and an appropriate verification failure message is displayed.

TC06 – Input Validation
Attempt to continue without selecting a search type or without entering a search value.
Expected Result: The application prevents progression and prompts the user to provide the required information.

TC07 – Review Workflow
Enter a valid vehicle identifier and proceed to the review screen.
